SRIP ECR Workshop Summer 2024: ‘Traumatic birth and PTSD: from Research to Practice’

Professor Susan Ayers is  a psychologist specialising in perinatal mental health, based in the Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research at City University, London. Her research examines women’s mental health during pregnancy and after birth, with a particular focus on anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. For this workshop, Prof Ayers will give an overview of birth trauma and postnatal PTSD and share her experiences of the translation of birth trauma research into practice in the UK and more widely.
