Susan Garthus-Niegel is a psychologist and professor at the MSH Medical School Hamburg, Faculty of Medicine. She also holds part-time positions at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health and the University of Dresden, where she heads the Public Mental Health Research Unit. She and her team conduct epidemiological cohort studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses on the mental health and well-being of women and families, e.g. during the perinatal period, in relation to work-life balance or domestic violence."
